Have you tried manually testing it yourself you can earth pin 1 of the OBD port and count the number of flashes the lights make, long flashes are 10's and short flashes are 1's & that will tell you the code :thumb:

Thanks for the advice guys, mucho appreciato :thumb: :thumb:

Thanks for your advice Jay m8 :thumb:

Thankyou for the heads-up call on Friday Ian too :thumb:

I mananged to check the fault codes by earthing pin 1...... and constant flashing means no faults ! (mind you... this is no surprise as the car was dead as a dodo, being sat since new years day, so the codes would've cleared themselves !)

Anyways..... went to connect the jump leads to my car to start her and........ the red lead just came away from the terminal with the jump clip !

So i tightened that up and took her out for a 60 miles test drive.................. run sweet as a nut !!!!!!!! :wow: :driver: :driver: :driver:

Still not convinced, but I'll do more test drives to make sure there's no problems........ but it all seems to point to a loose positive terminal !!!! Yippeee !!!!!!! :D :D :D

Thanks for all your help and support lads.... roll on the 7th :thumb:

p.s - gonna post a little vid up here later this morning of my long awaited drive out ! Man, I a happy bunny !!!

No drama, as greasy dirty slippery road, but this is my brief test drives yesterday to check the car for faults......... (seems she's running fine again !!!!)

http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b153/ ... vorun1.flv

Hope they work, will open in quicktime too.

Just to show you that the schoolboy error of a loose positive battery terminal might just be the cause of my depression !!!

Cheers to all you nutters for your help :thumb:

Can you believe it Ian, all my fretting and years of progressive issues seem to be resolved with a loose terminal connection ! i hoped it wouldn't be serious, but wasn't expecting that !

Have monday booked off, I'm now treating the open day as a road trip for fun :thumb:

Have had the diff oil changed, but not the gearbox so i will be coming with a pocketful of pennies and lets see what Mat finds

(lashers are next to sort, might have a go myself, theres lots of documentation about it on these sites :? :dielaf: )

More road tests to be caried out this week :driver: :driver: to make sure she's good, but yes mate, look forward to meeting up finally on the 7th !

(God i missed my evo, first drive out of 2010...... gotta love evo's !!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D )
